The Bruadar Duo was formed at the beginning of 2019. Brought together by a mutual passion for performing and a desire to explore and develop the repertoire for this wonderful Chamber Music pairing.

Together as the Bruadar Duo Lynn & Kieran have toured across Scotland playing in some of the most beautiful venues in the country.

Whilst enjoying exploring the core repertoire for flute and guitar, the Duo have a major interest in contemporary music and are committed to performing and promoting the work of Scottish composers. .

The Duo enjoy engaging with their audiences, sharing insights into the music being performed, and creating an atmosphere of inclusivity. Sharing the music and embracing the effect it can have on communal well-being brings great joy to both performers and audiences alike.

Kieran is a classical guitarist originally from Kirkcaldy, Fife, now based in Edinburgh. McCrossan completed his B.Mus (Hons) at Edinburgh Napier University in 2023 where he studied with Scottish virtuoso classical guitarist and composer Simon Thacker. McCrossan will begin further studies as part of the Masters programme at Edinburgh Napier University this September.

Lynn is a classically trained flautist, soprano, freelance music specialist, music teacher, choir director and organist. She has worked for several Scottish Arts organisations, including Scottish Opera Education Department, National Youth Choir of Scotland and Youth Music Initiative. Lynn studied music in Glasgow, with Rosemary Elliot and Sheena Gordon. Recent masterclasses have been with Ruth Morley, Wissam Boustany and Ian Clarke. Originally from Fife, now based in North Lanarkshire.
