Open Studios – various dates and venues. Take the opportunity to step inside the studios of local artists and makers. Visit Jane Kelly, Kate Brown, Anne Whiting, Kirsteen Miller, Christine Finlayson, Lou Donaldson, Christina Suter and Ulla Hipkin to discover ceramics, glass, textiles, painting and more. This will be a chance for local artists who don’t have a studio of their own to open, or whose studio isn’t in Penicuik, to display some of their work along with other artists’ work. Giulia Drummond in concert – Giulia is a locally resident singer-songwriter from Brazil. Her musical background global, from Afro-Brazilian chants to celtic music, Bhuddist and Hindu mantras, Hebrew and Sephardic music, By exploring these different music traditions, she also explores the languages, singing in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Gaelic, Latin, Hebrew, Haitian Criollo, Yoruba, Ladino…Please click here for more details.
