The PCAA runs regular groups
If you’re interested in joining any of these activities, please email penicuikarts.org@gmail.com in the first instance. Please note – there are no tutors involved with these groups.
The PCAA Yarn Group meets every Wednesday morning 10am – 12 noon. Members bring their yarn projects (knitting, crochet, embroidery etc) to make progress together, to chat and encourage each other and share skills. This group is currently full, but if you’d like to join a new yarn group meeting on a Thursday or Friday morning, please let us know.
The PCAA Music Group meets twice a month on a Saturday afternoon 3 – 5pm. Members play traditional style music together “reading the dots” from a growing repertoire. The standard is grade 3/Nat 5/”intermediate” and above. Any instrument compatible with traditional style music group playing is welcome – (except bagpipes which would drown us all out!)
The PCAA Art Group meets each Friday, normally out of doors for sketching/painting in different locations. This is a friendly group who like to do their art work together.
The PCAA Storyswap Group usually meets on the last Saturday of the month to practice telling stories “in progress”, share experiences, and perhaps engage in a group storytelling activity.
The PCAA supports regular groups
As well as the PCAA groups, the PCAA hires out rooms for other regular groups. We support new arts- or wellbeing- related groups by accepting a small “per head” amount of room rental to help the group to establish itself. These are the groups currently supported in this way – please email penicuikarts.org@gmail.com if you’re interested and we’ll pass on your enquiry.
