5. PENFEST 2021 Starts this weekend!

Penfest 2021 starts today with the first day of the Open Exhibition for the Turner Prize, in real life at the Arts Centre in West Street, Penicuik, 10am – 4pm. It will appear online shortly – but there’s NOTHING like a real life exhibition!

Also starting today is the exhibition of original art for the Community Poetry Book, in Room 3 of the Arts centre – come and see the beautiful work which contributed to this effort. The images will appear online shortly, and of course, they can be seen in the poetry book!

The Community Poetry Book and the PCAA Calendar 2022 are on sale for £10 at the exhibition, and they’re also available online (visit our PCAA online shop from the Home page).

Also today, you can enjoy informal entertainment from local musicians in the Arts Centre garden at 1pm.

You can also visit the Open Studios this weekend, from 11am to 4pm.

Finally, this evening (Saturday) we will enjoy a Penfest Zoom ceilidh – you can get your free ticket containing the Zoom link from our online shop.

Tomorrow (Sunday) evening will be the launch of the Poetry Book by Zoom – again, you can get a free ticket from our online shop.

Hope to see you at one of our events!

Best wishes

Sue
