
Piano Phase Duo (Four hands – one piano) – Classical Concert Series

Known for their dynamic energy on stage and imaginative music making, Piano Duo – Piano Phase Project made a striking entrance into the classical music scene in 2020. Monika Lozinskienė and Anna Szałucka take a special interest in repertoire influenced by jazz rhetoric and impressionism, with repertoire including Ravel, Debussy, Gershwin, Kapustin, Čiurlionis and Reich among others. The duo is known for writing their own arrangements and explore their creativity through exciting and innovative programmes.

Alongside traditional format concerts, Piano Phase Project explores new ways of presenting classical music to audiences by developing original musical installations in contemporary settings. The ensemble collaborates with contemporary theatre performers, dancers, visual artists, podcasters and broader media to invite listeners for a journey with classical music in a new and exciting environment.
Piano Phase Project’s most recent performances include St. Martin In The Fields, St. Barts Heritage, Wiltshire Music Centre, Sienko Gallery, the Bloomsbury Festival, The Musicians’ Company, Kaunas Philharmonic Hall, Classical:NEXT conference, Kaunas 2022 – Еuropean Capital of Culture, BLC Business Centre, Organum in Vilnius as well as installations at the MO Museum in Lithuania. Their ongoing initiatives are supported by St. Christopher Vilnius Rotary Club, Bob Boas Charitable Trust, Lithuanian Council for Culture and Vilnius municipality. In 2022, Piano Phase Project became City Music Foundation Artists. In 2025 the piano duo will be touring Scotland as The Tunnel Trust prize winners.
Anna Szałucka is a Polish pianist and collaborator based in London. Her work focuses on cross-arts productions and finding new formats of musical expressions. Szałucka‘s discography to date includes eight albums: A Century of Polish Piano Miniatures released with Naxos, The Hourglass with October House Records, Sonatas after Mozart with Linn Records and Selbstgesprache with Ulysses Arts among others. All albums include new commissions or Anna’s own transcriptions and compositions and were highly acclaimed by critics including The Gramophone Magazine and BBC Music Magazine.
2021 saw the birth of Piano Phase Project, an ensemble bringing music installations to contemporary venues helping people from all walks of life to connect with and make music. The pianist has given numerous concerts and recitals around the world, cooperating with The National Fryderyk Chopin Institute, Wiener Beethoven Gesellschaft, Arthur Rubinstein International Music Foundation, The Worshipful Company of Musicians, BBC Radio 3 and 4, Classic FM and Polish Radio. She was winner of the 1st Prize together with four Special Awards at the 3rd Tallinn International Piano Competition in Estonia. Anna Szałucka’s work is supported by The Imogen Cooper Music Trust and The Craxton Trust. In Poland, she was awarded the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Prize for outstanding achievements in music.
Anna completed her Master of Arts and Advanced Diploma courses in piano performance at The Royal Academy of Music in London, where she now holds the position of a piano professor.

Driven by musical curiosity, beyond the standard piano repertoire, Monika Lozinskiene explores rarely played piano works by composers as diverse as S. Lyapunov, E.J. Moeran, M. K. Čiurlionis and S. Vainiūnas. The resulting concert programs captivate audiences, offering listeners the opportunity to discover new works and re-discover familiar pieces cast in new contexts. Monika’s purpose is to create a shared sense of community in concert spaces by uncovering the stories hidden behind every piece of music — about us and the world we live in.
Since 2022, Monika is a City Music Foundation artist in London. Among her honours are commendations for her international musical achievements from Lithuanian Presidents Valdas Adamkus and Dalia Grybauskaitė. The 1st prize winner at the Josep Mirabent I Migrans Chamber Music Competition (Sitges, Spain), Monika also was awared a first prize at the Tonia and Tania Webster Competition (Glasgow, Scotland), where she was recognized for her performances of rarely played Russian piano repertoire. As a chamber musician, Monika performed at the St. Martin in the Fields, Bloomsbury Festival, Newbury Spring Festival (UK), Festival Musique et Patrimoine en Vienne et Gartempe (Saint – Savin, France), Edinburgh Festival Fringe (Scotland), and at the historic Al Raco de la Calma (Sitges, Spain). Together with Polish pianist Anna Szalucka, Monika completes the collaborative piano duo “Piano Phase Project” – a recipient of the Tunnel Trust Award for chamber music (2023).
Monika completed her Bachelor‘s and Master’s degrees in solo piano at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS). In 2019 she received a scholarship from the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein and in 2022 she received her second Master‘s degree in chamber music performance from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. As a musician entrepreneur, Monika founded and directs the “Kaunas Piano Fest,” an international piano festival and series of masterclasses in her native Lithuania. She also founded a podcast “openARTed“ and a global piano community “PianoBuffs“.
